Tue, 13 March 2007 Lime has disappeared. She's currently gallavanting around Florida, doing some yarn shopping and hanging in the sun, leaving the poor Miz V to fend for herself. So message boarder and avid listener, Alcariel, steps in to fill the big limey shoes this week, bringing with her stories of going out in her underwear, her psycho fluffball of fur and rage, and a little bit about what happens when butts attack. Do we attract the weird ones or what? :) It's a looooong show this week (an hour and a half plus...see what happens when we don't talk for so long??) so there's no music, just a little sound file made by listener Michelle G and her stupendous love of cheese. Since we, too, love cheese, it was perfect. Thank you, Michelle! I didn't get to them, but I wanted to highly recommend two books that I've been <s>drooling on</S> casually flipping through in my spare time: <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1400097452?ie=UTF8&tag=dreamdeep&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1400097452"> <IMG SRC="http://images.amazon.com/images/P/1400097452.01._AA_SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpg"> Cables Untangled: An Exploration of Cable Knitting</a> Two words: EYE. CANDY. Totally inspirational, especially for the stitch dictionary at the end. And the other IS a stitch dictionary of cables: <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1931543895?ie=UTF8&tag=dreamdeep&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=1931543895"> <IMG SRC="http://images.amazon.com/images/P/1931543895.01._AA_SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpg"> The Vogue Knitting Stitchionary Volume Two: Cables: The Ultimate Stitch Dictionary from the Editors of Vogue Knitting Magazine (Vogue Knitting Stitchionary Series)</a> /> Oh, holy cow. I already see a few that might have to be modified for socks. Yeah, it's that good. We'll be back to normal (well, normalISH. As normal as we get...) next week, with Miss Lime back in the copilot seat, where she can tell us all about getting to meet Shari at the Loopy Ewe. (I'm not bitter. Hrmf. Not at all.) love and cookies, Miss V Comments[0] |
